Too many times my partner and I have seen a great potential website shot down by a client's inability to come to a final business niche decision. Not being able to select a product or service to endorse and promote has shot down many an otherwise highly motivated, would be internet entrepreneur.

There are lots of ways to make money from working at home online, but niche affiliate marketing is the most popular. All you have to do is decide what you want to promote, get a good website up, and devote a bit of time to feeding and nourishing it. Start with and keep adding solid content, and you’re home free.

It's important not to get hung up on your choice of businesses. Have a little talk with yourself. Is there something you love to do? In a perfect world, what would you be doing? Are you a self-proclaimed expert at something? Is there a product or service you believe you could promote better than those now doing so? The main thing is that you make up your mind.

There is virtually nothing that you can't sell online. And you can be successful. No matter what you'd like to run a website about, you can be sure there are thousands, if not millions of others around the world who share your interest. And they're all looking online for information about it.

More important than worrying about whether there's a market for your product, is making sure that it's something you really have an interest in. So, what turns you on? There must be some job you'd do without even getting paid. You've just come up with your niche. Now you know what to build your business around.

Please understand, you should not waste time trying to figure out which product or service niche will make the most money. I've had many clients whose business ideas initially struck me as unlikely turn out to be quite good. And, of course, many of the best ideas are simply frittered away by the site owners.

Why?

Often it's because of that certain passion I mentioned - that is, it wasn't really there for the clients. Managing a website seemed a lot like work. It was no fun. This made all the little, mostly fun, tasks involved with running a website actually seem like chores.

This isn't a problem if you choose something you really do love as the focal point of your internet business. Questions from your website visitors are fun to respond to, not a chore. Working on your online business can be the highlight of your day.

Just give it a little thought. Do NOT over think it. Analyze what it is that would be fun and hold your interest, and get started. Find someone to build a niche affiliate marketing website for you, or do it yourself. You can always find a webmaster to help with your website.
